Choosing the Right Tool
What cordless drill do you recommend for basic home tasks?
For most first-time homeowners, a 20V cordless drill and driver combo covers the majority of everyday tasks: hanging shelves, assembling furniture, drilling small holes, and driving screws into wood and drywall.
You do not need a heavy or complicated tool. A compact 20V model with variable speed and a lightweight body is comfortable to use and easy to store. If you are not sure yet, feel free to email us with what you are working on and we will point you to the right model.
What is the difference between a drill and an impact driver?
A drill rotates a bit in a continuous circle and is used for drilling holes and driving screws into wood, drywall, and plastic. It gives you precise control, especially for smaller screws and delicate surfaces.
An impact driver also rotates but adds quick bursts of rotational force when it meets resistance. This makes it much better at driving long or large screws without stripping the head. It is louder and less precise, but handles stubborn fasteners easily.
For most home projects like assembling furniture or hanging items, a standard drill is the better starting point. If you are building a deck, fence, or installing subfloor, an impact driver saves a lot of effort.
Are these tools suitable for someone who has never used a power drill before?
Yes. Our drills include variable speed triggers, adjustable torque settings, and a comfortable grip to help beginners feel in control. You can start at a low speed and low torque, which reduces the chance of overtightening or stripping screws.
If you can tighten a screw by hand, you can use these tools. The learning curve is short for basic tasks. We recommend starting with a small practice piece of wood before working on your actual project.
Can I use these tools for professional or commercial work?
Our tools are designed and priced for home and light DIY use. They handle occasional home improvement projects well.
If you are a contractor or plan to use a drill every day on heavy commercial jobs, we would honestly suggest looking at professional-grade tools built for that level of sustained load. We would rather give you an honest answer than have you buy something that does not fit your situation.
How do I choose the right drill kit for my job?
The material you are working with makes the biggest difference:
- Wood: Any of our standard 20V drills work well. Choose by kit size based on how many bits and accessories you need.
- Drywall: A 20V drill with torque control is ideal. Set it low enough that you do not punch through the surface.
- Masonry or concrete: You need a drill with a hammer function. A standard drill will not get through concrete reliably.
- Metal: A standard 20V drill works, but use slow speed and a proper metal-rated bit. High-speed drilling generates heat and dulls bits quickly.

How do I stop screws from stripping when using a drill?
The most common cause is using the wrong bit size or setting the torque too high. Match your bit to the screw head exactly. A loose fit strips the head quickly.
Set your drill clutch to a lower torque setting for the screw size and increase only if needed. Drive at a moderate speed and stop as soon as the screw is flush. With a little practice this becomes second nature.
Using Your Tools
How do I safely store a cordless drill with a lithium-ion battery?
Store your drill in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Avoid storing the battery completely drained for long periods. A charge level around 40 to 60 percent is ideal for long-term storage. Do not store batteries near flammable materials.
If the battery looks swollen, leaking, or damaged in any way, stop using it immediately and contact us before attempting to return or dispose of it. There are specific safety guidelines for lithium-ion battery handling.
Orders and Shipping
How long does shipping take?
Orders are processed within 1 to 3 business days. Standard shipping within the contiguous United States takes 5 to 7 business days after processing. Total estimated delivery time is 6 to 10 business days.
We currently ship to the contiguous United States only. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, or APO/FPO addresses at this time.
Is shipping free?
Yes. Standard shipping is free on all orders. There is no minimum purchase amount required. The price you see at checkout is the final price with no shipping fees added.
How do I track my order?
Once your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking number, carrier name, and a direct link to track your package. Please allow up to 24 hours after that email for tracking to update on the carrier website.
If you have not received tracking details within 48 hours of your processing window, contact us at support@jardinessent.com with your order number.
Can I cancel or change my order after placing it?
You can cancel your order within 12 hours of placing it by emailing support@jardinessent.com with your order number. Once an order has been processed or shipped, it cannot be changed or canceled.

What should I do if my package shows as delivered but I did not receive it?
First check the tracking link from your shipping confirmation email. If tracking shows delivered but you have not received it, check around your property and with neighbors. Occasionally packages are scanned as delivered a day early.
If the package appears genuinely lost, contact us within 7 days of the expected delivery date at support@jardinessent.com. We will work with the carrier to investigate and find a solution.
Payment
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept PayPal. Through your PayPal account, you can pay using your PayPal balance, a linked bank account, or an eligible credit or debit card including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. All transactions are in U.S. Dollars (USD).
Do you charge sales tax?
We do not charge sales tax at checkout. The price shown on the product page is your final purchase price. There are no hidden fees or surprise charges added at checkout.
Returns, Warranty, and Support
What is your return policy?
We accept returns within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused, in their original condition, and include all original packaging and accessories. To start a return, email support@jardinessent.com with your order number and reason for the return.
If the item arrived defective or did not work correctly on arrival, we cover return shipping. For change-of-mind returns, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs. Approved refunds are processed within 3 business days of receiving the item. See our full Return and Refund Policy for details.
What do I do if my tool arrives damaged or defective?
Contact us within 7 days of delivery at support@jardinessent.com. Include your order number, a short description of the problem, and one or two photos or a short video showing the issue.
We will offer either a free replacement or a full refund including any original shipping costs. You will not be asked to pay anything to resolve a product that arrived broken or incorrect.
Does my tool come with a warranty?
Yes. Every power tool sold on jardinessent.com includes a 1-Year Limited Warranty. The warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal household use. The warranty period begins on your delivery date.
It does not cover the battery, drill bits, or charger. It does not cover damage caused by misuse, dropping, or modification. No registration is required. See our full Warranty Policy for details.
How do I file a warranty claim?
Email support@jardinessent.com with your order number, a description of the problem, and photos or a short video. We will review and respond within 1 to 2 business days.
If approved, we will replace the product, repair it, or issue a refund. Your order confirmation email is your proof of purchase. No separate registration is needed.
Do your tools include batteries and chargers in the box?
This varies by product. Each product listing clearly states what is included. Most kits include at least one battery and a charger. Some kits include two batteries. We do not sell any products that require a separate battery purchase without making that clearly visible before checkout.
